Nnamdi Azikiwe Varsity Appoints Attah, Sun Correspondent As Director Of Information, Six Others

The Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has approved the appointment of Mr Alloysius Attah as the new Director of Information and Public Relations of the institutions.
Attah, a multiple award winning journalist until his appointment was the Chief Correspondents of Sun Newspaper in Anambra.
Six other directors were also issued their appointment letters signed on Friday April 17 by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Dr Chinenye Okeke
The six principal officers appointed Prof. Jacintha Eze, University Librarian, Dr Jane Ezeonu, Director of Medical Services, Obinna Ibe, Director of Works Services and Mr Paschal Akuma Director of Procurement.
Others Mr Lawrence Ezeokafor, Director of Physical Planning and Mr Obi Collins, Chief Safety Officer.
The Statement said all the appointments took effect from April 17, for a single tenure of five. years.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Mr Olugbenga Kukoyi, urged the appointees to justify the confidence placed in them through diligence, integrity, and dedicated service.
Kukoyi encouraged them to uphold the values of the University and serve as worthy ambassadors of the institution.
Responding on behalf of the new appointees, Attah, commended the Pro-Chancellor, members of the internal and external Governing Council, the Vice Chancellor and other members of the interview/ selection team for their painstaking exercise.
Attah expressed confidence that they would not only live up but surpass every expectation required of them towards repositioning the University as a globally respected and accepted citadel ofhigher learning.
