Harmattan: Egwuonwu Counsels People Against Fire Outbreaks
Chief Akai Egwuonwu, a frontline aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial bye-election has appealed to the people of Anambra South to be cautious and guard against fire outbreaks as harmattan season sets in.
Egwuonwu who is contesting for the ticket of the on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) said the call had become necessary to avoid destruction of lives and property as seen during the period.
According to him,, preventing fire outbreaks and its destructive menace is everybody’s business.
“Let us should join in the fight to reduce all forms of disasters, especially the ones involving human negligence and mistakes,” he said.
Egwuonwu urged parents and guardians to teach their children the habit of switching off all appliances when leaving home, at school, in the offices, in the shops, worship places and other public places.
He appreciated Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for equipping the Anambra Fire Service with modern gadgets, adding that the welfare of Anambra people remained the governor’s top priority.
