Insecurity: Prof. Okonkwo Meets Anambra APC Leaders On Strategies To Salvage Anambra
Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines has said that Anambra deserves better governance and greater socioeconomic prosperity that is obtainable at the moment.
Okonkwo said this during a strategic engagement with leadership of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) State Working Committee and Zonal leaders in Anambra State on Thursday.
He said the APC had the capacity to take over Anambra come November because of the leadership lacuna that has been created by the current administration.
Okonkwo touched on the numerous challenges of Anambra including the deteriorating state of security of lives and property which he described as crucial to unity, innovation, purposeful leadership and prosperity through unlocking state potential.
While addressing the party leaders, he commended their commitment to the ideals of national unity and expressed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies focused on promoting economic growth, national unity and political stability.

“Collaboration among political, business, and community leaders is crucial to achieving sustainable development in any society.
“Security is the bedrock of progress, and without it, meaningful development cannot be achieved. It is imperative that concerted efforts are made to address the security crisis in our state,” he said.
The billionaire donated office equipment/appliances to the APC Secretariat building including split-unit air conditioners, smart televisions, industrial generators, and others with ₦20 million cash to support the party’s grassroots engagement.
In his remark, Chief Basil Ejidike, Chairman of APC in Anambra, lauded Okonkwo’s for his vision and commitment to a united, secure and a prosperous Anambra.
Ejidike said Okonkwo’s remarkable contributions to the aviation industry and other sectors stood him out as a role model whose influence on the nation’s development served as an inspiration to many.
The APC leadership promised to support policies that aligned with the shared vision for a progressive
and prosperous state.
