ANSSI -3 Kicks Off March 19 With 11 Events
The third edition of the Anambra Solution Sports Initiative(ANSSI) for primary and secondary schools will kick off on March 19 with 11 events featuring in the competition.
Patrick-Estate Onyedum, Chairman of Anambra Sports Development Commission said this during the Inauguration of a 19-man Main Organising Committee of the school sports festive which is in its third edition.
The sporting events to feature in the festival include Athletics, Ncho, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Scrabble, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo and Volleyball.
Speaking after the inauguration, Onyedum called in members of the committee to work towards the successful execution of the competition.
Onyedum who is the Chairman of the MOC appreciated committee members, various schools and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the previous editions.
According to the programme 2025 ANSSI, the competition would take place at the Local Government Area level between May 7 and May 9 while the zonal eliminations and State finals would hold between June 11 and June 13 and June 17 and June 20 respectively.
The MOC said registration had commenced and would end on March 14.
Other members of the MOC are Emeka Obidimma (Director of Sports), Olu Sule, Jude Nwafor, Anthonia Uwa, Faith Okwenna, and John Oforah, Rev. Fr. Calistus Nworgu (rep. Mission Schools), Onwuka Dibian (Rep. Public schools Principals) and Ikeadi Udeaja (Rep. Education Ministry).
Others include Ralph Okafor, Anthonia Okoye, Arekameh Nuwanu, Ikemefuna Asika Chidimma Nwankwo, Ken. Okoli and Osita Obijiofor who will serv
e as Secretary.
