Anambra 2025: Ukachukwu Floors Ozigbo, Others To Clinch APC Guber Ticket
Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Anambra governorship election.
Ukachukwu won the primary contest which concluded Sunday morning in a landslide.
He beat other contestants including Valentine Ozigbo, Johnbosco Onunkwo and Edozie Madu to emerge winner.
According to the result announced by the Chairman of the Anambra State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, Ukachukwu scored a total of 1, 455 votes to emerge candidate of the party.
Ozigbo came a distant second with 67 votes ahead of Onunkwo who got 26 and Nmadu: who garnered eight votes to finish third and fourth respectively.
Total 26 votes were adjudged invalid.
Recall that three aspirants namely, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Chief Paul Chukwuma and Chief Chukwuma Umeoji had earlier pulled out of the contest.
Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of APGA and Ukachukwu of the APC are so far the two candidates that have emerged ahead of Nov. 8 Guber poll.
