Anambra Decides: Nweke, AA Candidate Rallies Voters, Promises Investment In People
Chief Jeff Nweke, candidate of Action Alliance (AA) party has promised to invest in people and enhance their capacities if elected Anambra governor on Nov. 8.
Jeff made the promise when thousands of his supporters held a road show and solidarity rally across communities in Awka South Local Government Area on Tuesday.
Nweke who expressed delight at the number of people who trooped out to support him said he was confident of victory and that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would declare him winner.
He said when he assumed office, he would implement policies and programmes that would uplift the lives of the people in appreciation for their support.
He described the massive street support as a show of people’s desire for genuine changes in Anambra, assuring that he would work for them and lead them with a human face.
According to him, I will be committed to driving people’s agenda, and my government will be very transparent and inclusive,” he said.
Nweke expressed confidence that the election would be peaceful and that people’s votes would count urging them to ensure they cast their votes.
He called political parties and candidates to be committed to the peace accord they signed and accept the outcome of the election as would be announced by INEC adding that it was not a do or die affair.
“We expect security personnel to live up to expectations.
“No stone should be left unturned to ensure a free, fair and credible election, especially under the new INEC chairman who has promised that Anambra’s poll will be free and fair,” he said.
