State Exco Missing As ADC commences Membership Revalidation In Anambra
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced membership registration and revalidation exercise in Anambra.
ADC inaugurated the exercise in Awka on Saturday with stalwarts of the party in attendance without members of the State State Working Committee in attendance.
Unconfirmed reports say members of executive of the party in Anambra alleged that they were not carried along in the build up to the event, hence their boycott.
Meanwhile the exercise went successfully with Mr Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra, calling on Nigerians to participate actively in the political process.
Obi said this was important to ensure responsible leadership, transparency in governance.
Also, Mr John Nwosu said the registration and revalidation exercise was a critical step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and preparing the ADC for future political contests.
Nwosu called on existing and prospective members of ADC across Anambra to participate in the registration and revalidation process.
“Our singular mission is to make Peter Obi the President of Nigeria,” he said.
Other stakeholders of ADC at the event were Sen. Victor Umeh of Anambra Central Senatorial District, Sen. Tony Nwoye of Anambra South Senatorial District and Chief Oseloka H. Obaze, former Secretary to Anambra Government among others.
