Idigo Bags Leadership Award, Pledges Greater Service Delivery
Chief Anthony-Iyk Idigo, a Superintendent of Corps, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Bayelsa State Command has pledged to continue to work towards improved service delivery of the corps.
Idigo made the remarks after receiving an Award of Prestigious Leadership from the Chartered Institute of Marine, Port and Terminal Management Professionals, USA.
The award was presented by Mr Patrick Mark, the Regional Director of Training for the Institute in Nigeria in a ceremony held at BW Star fire Hotel, Ikeja Lagos on March 28.
Indigo popularly known as ‘Asiakpo Nnu Anam’ said he would continue to play exemplary leadership roles as an officer of the corps.
He said he would fly the Nigerian flag higher at the International levels.
He appreciated his commanders and other colleagues whose support had guided him so far in his career.
“I feel blessed that somebody like me has been recognised by this great institute.
“This honour will spur me to work harder, show more commitment and dedication to my duties as an officer of the NSCDC, I will keep the Nigerian flag flying higher.
“I give God the glory for this award and dedicate it to my wife, Mrs Carol Idigo, ‘Iyom UgoMary 1 Na Anam’ for her unshaken support for my career, life and family.
“I pray for God’s blessings, protections and grace to our family in Jesus Name, Amen,” Idigo said.
Earlier in his speech, the Director Training, described SC Idigo as a Long time friend and colleague in the Chartered Institute who had distinguished himself in his chosen career as an NSCDC officer.
“Idigo is a dedicated, tested and trusted professional.
“He is a leader that needs to be motivated by this kind of award to enable him to do more.
A similar event was also celebrated at Ekeremor in Bayelsa state.
