GUO Transport Mgt Commiserates Family Of Slain Driver
The Management of GUO Transport Company has confirmed the death of one of its drivers on April 18.
The company said its Toyota Hiace bus, travelling empty from Lagos to Onitsha, was ambushed by armed robbers along the Okada-Benin Road.
It said the regrettable incident resulted in the loss of the company driver describing it as a painful loss to the entire GUO family.
“It is with profound sadness that GUO Transport Co. confirms a tragic incident involving one of our vehicles on Saturday, April 18,” it said.
GUO said its immediate focus was to support the family of the victim at this difficult time and extended heartfelt condolences to them.
The company commended the efforts of the relevant security agencies and government authorities.
“We respectfully urge intensified action to address the persistent security challenges on this corridor.
“We appreciate the concern and support shown by the public.
“We kindly request privacy and respect for the bereaved family as they grieve,” it said.
