NMA Lauds Soludo On Obidike’s Reappointment As Health Commissioner
The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Anambra Chapter has appreciated Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for the reappointment of Obidike as the Commissioner for Health .
The NMA made the commendation in a Statement signed by Dr Okam Princeton and Dr Obiaeli Ifeanyi, Chairman and Secretary respectively.
The association congratulated Obidike on his nomination as the Health Commissioner in the State.
Obidike, the immediate past Commissioner for Health in the first term of Soludo’s administration was part of the 18-man Commissioner nominees list sent to Anambra House of Representatives on Tuesday for screening.
The NMA described the reappointment as thoughtful and a reflection of Soludo’s commitment to continuity, excellence, and sustained progress in the health sector.
The body of doctors expressed confidence that the reappointment would further consolidate the gains recorded and accelerate ongoing efforts to strengthen the health system, improve service delivery, and advance the overall well-being of the people.
According to the NMA, Obidike’s previous tenure was characterised by purposeful leadership, strategic reforms, and measurable improvements in healthcare delivery across the state.
“On behalf of the leadership and entire membership of NMA in Anambra we respectfully convey our sincere appreciation to Gov. Soludo for the reappointment of Dr Afam Obidike as the Commissioner for Health, Anambra.
“The NMA, Anambra Branch remains committed to supporting the Soludo’s administration and collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health to achieve shared goals in advancing healthcare delivery in the state,” it said.
