2027: ADC Extends Sale Of Nomination Forms In Anambra
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) scheduled May 21 for the screening of aspirants in its platform ahead of January general elections.
Mr Patrick Obianyo, Chairman of APC in Anambra disclosed this afternoon a meeting of the State Executive Committee with chairmen and secretaries of the party in the 21 local government areas in the state in Awka on Monday.
Obianyo said the screening for those vying for the State House of Assembly would take place in Awka.
He announced that window was still on for prospective aspirants to obtain ADC forms ahead of the screening and primary which will hold at the national convention of the party in Abuja on May 24.
Obianyo said the report of the ward, local government and state Councils had been submitted and approved by the National Secretariat as an endorsement of all the processes.
“We are also using the opportunity to call on aspirants to obtain their forms for Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.
“This window is open until Wednesday when we will hold our screening and then move to the convention in Abuja on May 24 where our candidates will emerge,” he said.
Obianyo said the ADC was in strong contention in Anambra and that its candidates were contesting for victory.
He said even though some members of the party moved with Mr Peter Obi to another party, the ADC was still strong at the grassroots.
