Nwosu Urges More Investment In Children For Better, Safer Future
Mr John Chuma Nwosu, a politician and InfoTech Expert has called for more investment in children as a way of guaranteeing a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future.
Nwosu made the call while extending good wishes to Children in Nigeria on the occasion of 2026 Children’s Day celebration,
He described children as unique, gifted, and full of limitless possibilities and urged them never allow their background, circumstances, or present challenges to define their future.
He also called for safe schools, qualified teachers, functional libraries, access to technology, and opportunities which would prepare them to thrive in the modern global economy.
“As leaders, parents, and stakeholders, we must continue to create an environment where children can grow in peace, safety, love, and opportunity.
“Every child deserves access to quality education, good healthcare, moral guidance, protection from abuse, and equal opportunities to succeed regardless of social status, religion, or location.
“I call on governments at all levels to place greater priority on the welfare future of Nigerian children through increased investment in education, modern learning facilities, digital technology, healthcare services, child protection policies, and youth development programmes,” he said.
Nwosu encouraged them to take their education seriously, develop good character, respect their parents and teachers, and uphold the values of discipline, honesty, kindness, and hard work.
He said the future belonged to young people who were prepared, focused, creative, and determined to make a positive impact in society.
The Expert said Children’s Day was not merely a day of celebration but a moment of reflection on the collective duty to protect, nurture, educate, and inspire every child to achieve his or her potential.
He said society was living in an era driven by knowledge, science, technology, and innovation, adding that young people must acquire digital and creative skills, read widely, ask questions, and use technology positively and responsibly.
“I join millions of Nigerians and people across the world in celebrating our precious children, the pride of today and the leaders of tomorrow.
“Great leaders, innovators, scientists, professionals, and nation-builders were once children who dared to dream and remained committed to those dreams.
“Nigeria and Africa need a generation of young minds that can compete globally, solve problems, and contribute meaningfully to national development,” he said.
Nwosu commend parents, teachers, caregivers, faith-based organisations, and all individuals who continue to sacrifice daily for the upbringing and development of our children.
He prayed that their dedication was one of the strongest foundations for building a responsible and progressive society.
