Sen. Nwoye Condemns Aguleri-Umuoba Anam War, Sues For Peace

 

 

Sen. Tony Nwoye representing Anambra Birth representing Anambra North Senatorial District, on Saturday condemned the war between Aguleri and Umuoba Anam in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state.

 

No fewer than four persons have been reported killed with many property destroyed in the clash that started in Thursday.

 

Nwoye who condemned the wanton killings and destruction of party

destruction of property in the communal clash called for immediate end to the feud.

 

The Senator extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and property as a result of the clash.

 

 

“I want to call on the good people of Aguleri and Umuoba Anam to exercise restraint and embrace peace and dialogue as a lasting solution to the crisis.

 

“I appeal to youths of both communities to sheathe their swords.

 

“I urge our Distinguished Traditional Rulers, Presidents General, Security Agencies and the State Government to restore peace and order,” he said.
