COVID-19: 16 new cases confirmed, nine discharged in Nigeria
16 new coronavirus cases was on Tuesday discovered in Nigeria bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 254.
The new cases reported in Nigeria were 10 in Lagos, 2 in the FCT, 2 in Oyo, 1 in Delta and 1 in Katsina
On the positive side nine patients were discharged from the Lagos centre having successfully undergone treatment and tested negative to the virus.
With the foregoing, total number of recovered cases in Nigeria has increased to 44 while number of death had become six following the loss of one person to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, there 202 active cases undergoing treatment in the country.
COVID-19 have now been confirmed in 17 states including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory out of the 36 States in the country.
Lagos and FCT still lead the pack with 130 and 50 cases respectively while Osun, Oyo and Edo trail immediately behind with 20, 11 and 11 cases respectively.
