Anambra 2021: Sen. Uba Begs Opponents To Accept His Victory
Sen. Andy Uba who was declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election on Saturday has appealed to his opponents in the contest to accept the outcome of the exercise.
Uba was declared winner having garnered 230,201 from the total of 348,490 valid votes cast to beat 13 other Aspirants.
The result was declared by Dr. Dapo Abiodun governor of Ogun state.
He thanked APC faithful for the confidence reposed in him while promising to build a strong movement that will guarantee victory for APC in the November 6 governorship polls.
Uba said he would usher in an all inclusive governance in Anambra noting that there are a whole lot of things that needed to be fix in the state.
The APC flag bearer in the November 6 election pointed out that he would bridge the inequality gap in the administration of Anambra State.
He said the road to fix Anambra was not going to be an easy way to travel but added that with the support of the APC faithful and indeed Anambra people he would give the state a five star governance everyone would be proud of.
According to the result, Azuka Okwuosa got 17,159 votes, Johnbosco Onunkwo polled 28,746 votes, Paul Orajiaka garnered 4,248 votes while Ben Etiaba garnered 4,244 votes and Conel Onyejegbu polled 3,414 votes.
Others were Maxwell Okoye – 2,540 votes, Chido Nwankwo 21,281 votes, George Moghalu 18,596 votes,Amobi Nwokafor 3,335 votes, Ikeobasi Mokelu 3,727 votes, Edozie Mmadụ 3,626 votes, Hygers Ifeanyi 1,466 votes and Godwin Okonkwo 5,907 votes.
