I Dumped APGA For ADC To Pursue My Vision For Anambra…. Nwankpo
Dr Akachukwu Nwankpo, a former presidential aide and an aspirant in the Nov. 6 governorship election in Anambra says he has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in order to actualise his lofty vision for the state.
Nwankpo defected from the All Progress Grand Alliance (APGA) where he was suspended at the screening stage and denied access to participate in the primary election.
Nwankpo said this through Chief Harris Chuma-Odili, Director General, Media/Publicity of his Campaign Organisation in Awka on Tuesday.
He said that he had left APGA with his structure and supporters across the 326 electoral ward in Anambra.
He said his decision to join ADC in response to the fever pitch pressure from his supporters that he should get a platform to contest the Nov. 6 election and allow the people of Anambra to decide their fate.
“Nwankpo was an aspirant on APGA platform, he was screened and not cleared and his appeal was not heard but he has a passion for the development of Anambra and lead the state to Eldorado.
“I joined ADC to actualise my ambition and vision for greater Anambra, ADC is a credible platform with no political baggage, Anambra people need a breathe of fresh air.
“My did not allow me to end my political journey with what happened in APGA, now we have moved into APC with the formidable structure we have built over time and supporters across the state.
“ADC is a party that has been on ground for a while and presents a credible platform for a man with high electability and burning passion for the good of his people,” he said
