Anambra Media: Members’ Welfare Will Be My Priority …Ilozue
Chief Emmanuel Ilozue, Chairman, Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra Council says he will work for better welfare of members during his tenure.
Ilozue said this at the meeting of the Chapel in Awka on Tuesday, the first since his election on July 14.
He promised to run an open and all inclusive administration while urging all to embrace peace.
The veteran journalist who thanked members of the chapel for their solidarity and support before, during and after the election said he would ensure that all that was due to them.
The chairman also urged Correspondents’ to continue to exhibit the high level of professional ethics expected of them.
He said the welfare measures would include holistic and improved stipend as well as other benefits from government, corporate organisations and other members of the society .
Formal handover was made by Mr Emmanuel Ndukuba led administration after a successful six year tenure of two terms.
Meeting also had the Police Public Relations Officer , DSP Toochukwu Ikenga who solicited for continued cooperation of the media in Anambra
