The Vice Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in 2019 elections, Mr Peter Obi, has expressed sadness over the death of the Supreme Court Justice Samuel Oseji while commiserating with the Government and people of Delta State over the loss.
In a condolence message made available to the Press, Obi said his death is a huge loss to the nation. He recalled his last meeting with the deceased and prayed God to give him eternal rest.
“I recall that the last time we met was on July 11, at the 60th birthday of Emeka Ngige at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba. He was the one that me aside and asked how I was doing. After exchanging pleasantries, he looked at me and said that I am a good man and that I should continue to contribute to a better society”, Obi recalled.
Obi extended his condolence to the Government and people of Delta State. He stated that the great statesman and distinguished jurist made notable contributions to the judiciary and society at large. He urged them to bear the loss with fortitude.
“And to the family, friends and well wishers of Late Justice Samuel Oseji, I pray God to give you the strength to bear his irreplaceable loss. May God grant him eternal rest”, Obi prayed.
