Ozigbo, PDP Guber Candidate In Anambra Loses Father, Party Mourns
Chief Nwafor Ozigbo, father of Mr Valentine Ozigbo, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 2021 governorship election is dead.
Ozigbo announced the passage of their patriarch on behalf of the family in a Statement.
He said Pa Ozigbo died in his country home in Amesi, Aguata Local Government Area on Monday.
Pa Ozigbo born in Amuwo village of Amesi in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra died at the age of 92.
The Guber candidate described his father as a leader, hero, my mentor and trailblazer in the family adding that his death was a sad reality for them.
According to him, my father was everything to us, he was married to my mother for 66 years.
“He set an example on how to lead in the family and the community that is difficult to surpass.
“Our hearts are heavy, it is difficult to find the words to express our pain at my father’s passing.
“This is a significant blow to our family,” he said.
Meanwhile, the PDP has has expressed their condolences to the Ozigbo family over the death of their father.
Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu. Publicity Secretary of PDP in Anambra who said this in a Statement on Tuesday said the party received the news of death with shock .
It prayed that God would grant Valentine and the entire Ozigbo family the fortitude to bear the loss while the family to be encouraged because the departed sage lived an impactful life.
“Every mortal must one day answer the call to the great beyond, we are consoled that Chief Andrew Nwafor Ozigbo, a great leader, was a mentor to many successful persons in and outside the state.
“The journey of life is not about how long but how impactful, the departed hero will live long in the memory of those he positively impacted,” it stated.
