Ojukwu, Obiano’s Wives Fight Dirty As Prof. Soludo Takes Over In Anambra
Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the outgone governor of Anambra and Chief Mrs Bianca Ojukwu on Thursday engaged in physical fight at the venue of the swearing in ceremony of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as Anambra government.
The brawl started shortly after Soludo and Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim were sworn in by Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, the Chief Judge of the state.
Both took their oaths of office and allegiance at the Anambra Government House in a ceremony witnessed by hundreds of people.
The trouble started when Obiano’s wife who arrived late left her seat to where Mrs Ojukwu was sitting and started touching her and muttering some words.
Mrs Ojukwu who did not find the situation funny tried to stop Mrs Obiano but the latter continued following which Ojukwu sprang from her sit and the situation degenerated to a fight.
Some people said there had been long drawn animosity between the personalities and that they had not been in good terms.
In his address, Soludo said the new Anambra under his leadership would be a state of law and order.
He thanked Obiano and the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for their immense support.
He thanked the people of Anambra for interviewing him and employing him to serve them as governor.
Soludo announced the suspension of all revenue collections in the state for one months and outlawed all cash payments to Anambra government in Motor Parks, roads or anywhere.
