Athletics Association Congratulates Onyedum’s As Chairman Anambra Sports Commission
The Anambra Athletics Association has congratulated Patrick Estate Onyedum on his appointment as chairman of the State Sports Development Commission.
The association in a statement signed by Eugene Ofediora and Johnny Igboka, its Secretary and Chief Coach respectively expressed confidence that Onyedum would do well as a chairman.
Onyedum is the chairman of AAA and immediate past chairman of, Anaocha Local Government Area.
The association said during Onyedum’s tenure asSouth East Athletics chairman, he organised and sponsored many competitions.
“As the chairman of Anaocha LGA, he organised the first Anaocha Secondary School Sports competition.
“Therefore, we can boldly affirm that his appointment as the chairman of Anambra State Sports Development Commission is not a mistake but a welcome development that will uplift sports in Anambra state,’ it stated.
The association described the appointment of Onyedum by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo as historic and urged him to carry on his transformational touch to the Commission.
