NSF: Anambra Qualifies For Male Cricket Third Place Encounter
The Anambra male cricket team has qualified for place at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) in Delta State.
Anambra had qualified for semifinals after a loss to Edo and a win over Kwara in their first and second matches respectively.
In the semi final game decided at the Federal Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Ukwu, Anambra batted in the first inning scoring 79 runs and 10 wickets in 19.5 ovals.
In the second inning, Oyo batted, scoring 80 runs, three wickets and 15 ovals beating Anambra by seven wickets.
Anambra will face the loser of the match between Edo and Kaduna states while Kwara and Delta states cricket teams are out of the tournament.
