CP Itam meets Strategic Officers Of The Command, Harps On Better Security, Service Delivery
The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Anambra, Mr Nnaghe Obono Itam has met with strategic officers of the Command as part of his assumption activites.
Itam who assumed office on Monday while addressing the top officers of the Command presented his plan of action for improved security of lice and property in the state.
The officers included action Area Commands and Tactical Units.
SP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra quoted the CP as saying that he aimed at repositioning Officers and Men of the Command for an Improved and better security service delivery..
He charged the officers to be more responsive and committed to duty and directed for the creation of training officers at the Area Command level.
He said there was need to work with other security agencies for a well-coordinated positioning to respond to security incidents in the State.
Meanwhile, the CP had paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 13 Headquarters AIG Godwin Aghaulor, the supervisory Commander of both Anambra State Command and Enugu Command.
The visit was to notify the AIG of his assumption and also familiarise with the senior officers of the Zone.
