Police.intercept Gun Runner, Recovers 375 Live Cartridges In Anambra
The Police in Anambra have arrested one Felix Owaya, 48, from Ika South LGA of Delta State and intercepted 375 rounds of live cartridges.
SP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said Owaya was arrested while on patrol along Niger Street, Onitsha.
He said the suspect confessed to the crime claiming he was sent by one Mr Charles Ogboma to a yet to be identified man to collect the ammunition.
“The Commissioner of Police, Mr Nnaghe Itam while commending Police Officers who made the recovery for their vigilance and tenacity.
“He directs all personnel in the Command to sustain the tempo of crime prevention and detection in service of the people of the State,” he said.
