Ikemba Front Declares 7-day Mourning For Sen. Ubah, As Flag Flies Half Mast
Ikemba Front, the flagship political support structure of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah has announced the commencement of a seven day mourning period for the late politician.
Chief Arinzechukwu Awogu, the National Coordinator of Ikemba Front announced this at the National Headquarters of the group on Sunday.
Ubah, the senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District died in London on July 25.
Awogu said the flag of Ikemba Front had been made to fly at half-mast as a mark of honour for their departed leader and Senator.
The Coordinator called on members to remain strong and steadfast saying that ‘the objective of their mission continues’,
“We are gathered at our National Headquarters here in Awka in reaction to the news of the death of the two term senator representing Anambra South Senatorial Zone and the APC governorship hopeful for Anambra state 2025 governorship election.
“Ikemba Front has declared a seven days mourning period for the Senator whose shocking demise occurred in the early hours of today in London.
“Humanity has yet to realise what has been lost in the demise of the business mogul and philanthropic Senator.
“To die completely, one must be forgotten but he that is not forgotten, is not dead. Ifeanyi Ubah, you are not dead,” he said.
Awogu said Mr Owelle Mbaso, the convener and leader of Anambra Former Political Appointees (2014-2022 set) was among those who thronged the group’s office to show solidarity.
