Awka North LGA Chairman-Elect Promises To Uplift People
Chief Charles Okadigbo, Executive Chairman-Elect of Awka North Local Government Council has said the people of the area will witness positive changes in the various communities when he is sworn into office.
Okadigbowho spoke in Awka on Monday expressed gratitude to the people for believing in him and voting for him enmass during the Sept. 28 council election while commending them for their peaceful conduct.
According to him, the 10 communities that make up Awka North will no doubt receive more attention in terms of micro development and human capital rejuvenation.
Okadigbo thanked the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Edozie Njoku for his upright and steadfast nature of leadership which will in no distant time give the party more spread.
“When we are sworn in officially, it will reduce the pressure and demands on Gov. Chukwuma Soludo as he will now focus on delivering bigger development and strides to the people.
“I am aware of the hardship my people are facing just like other Nigerians, I want to call on President Bola Tinubu to review his economic policies in the interest of the masses.
Okadigbo who was a special adviser to former Gov Willie Obiano on Agriculture, said he would pay more attention towards empowering rural farmers as such move will encourage them and guarantee food security.
He called on all stakeholders in Awka North Local government area to join hands with him, to move the council to a greater height.
