Anambra Tech Experts Unveil Virtual Platform For Citizens’ Engagement
A group of Technology experts in Anambra have inaugurated Techies Unite for Soludo(TUfS), a digital platform which will facilitate greater citizens participation in government and social interaction.
The platform is an initiative of technologically savvy young professionals under the aegis of known as Techies Unite for Soludo(TUfS).
Mr Castro Ideke, the Coordinator of the programme said TUfS was a platform that citizens would share innovative ideas as well as serve as a community for the population in the tech space.
Ideke said it was a secured virtual platform where individuals and groups could post content on the government of Anambra.
Mr Jude Emesim, Team Lead, Policy, Partnership and Innovation at the Agency said the TUfS was further to the commitment of Anambra government to making the state the tech hub of Africa .
Emesim said the platform would provide support that would ensure continuity of the technological advancements and digital initiatives introduced by the Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
He said promote effective communication of the achievements and plans of government as well as encourage tech professionals to collaborate and contribute to the State’s technological growth.
According to him, TUfS would foster a seamless digital evolution for Anambra, build upon the existing technological strides and shape a brighter future.
“TUfS aims to foster continuous innovation, economic growth, and enhanced quality of life for all residents and ensure that the technological revolution initiated by Governor Soludo continues beyond 2025.
“We hope to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure continuity in Governor Soludo’s progressive agenda, promoting a stable and tech-driven future for Anambra,” he said.
On his part, Chinedu Onwuemelie CEO PineHeights Systems Limited said the infrastructure for effective tech takeoff had been put in place with Solution Wifi points installed at strategic points across the state
Onwuemelie said Wifi was free and that a user must register to get a short message which would contain his password for easy access to the virtual Community including TUfS.
He expressed confidence that Abambra would become the state with highest wifi density in no distant future
Mr Chukwuma Okoye, Chief Executive Officer of Activ8 Hub, Awka, a tech solutions company also made short presentation at the ceremony.
