World Pneumonia Day: Egwuonwu Lauds Soludo On Investment In Healthcare
Chief Akai Egwuonwu, an industrialist and chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has commended Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for his commitment to ensuring a functional and efficient healthcare sector in the state.
Egwuonwu who is the Managing Director of Anambra Rice Mill made the commendation while addressing journalists on the occasion of World Pneumonia Day in Awka on Tuesday.
The theme of the 2024 celebration is “Every Breath Counts; Stop Pneumonia In Its Tracks”*.
He said Soludo had demonstrated his commitment to the sector by investing massively in health in terms of infrastructure and motivation of manpower.
Egwuonwu said the theme was apt as it underscored the critical value of each breath while calling for urgent action to combat pneumonia through early detection, effective treatment, and preventive measures.
He called residents of Anambra to take advantage of the robust health sector in the state as well as the health insurance scheme provided by Soludo to avail themselves preventive and curative services against pneumonia.
