Anambra Commission Set To Inaugurate 16 Sports Associations
The Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASSDC) will on Thursday, Nov. 14 inaugurate all the sports associations in the State.
Patrick-Estate Onyedum, Chairman of ASSDC disclosed this in a notice made available on Tuesday.
The notice which was signed by Emeka Obidimma, Director of Sports said the event would take place at the Anambra State Sports Development Commission Conference Hall, Awka
He said the associations to be inauguratedi were Anambra State Tennis Association, Anambra State Table Tennis Association, Anambra State Basketball Association, Anambra State Cricket Association, Anambra State Handball Association, Anambra State Badminton Association and Anambra State Golf Association
Others are Anambra State Wrestling Association, Anambra State Aquatics Association, Anambra State Volleyball Association, Anambra State Judo Association, Anambra State Boxing Association, Anambra State Taekwondo Association, Anambra State Scrabble Association, Anambra State Chess Association and Anambra State Weightlifting Association
Onyedum said the inauguration was in fulfillment of the resolve to reposition sports in the state for greater productivity and ensure that more takenra were discovered and nutured at the grassroots.
