Aburime, Soludo’s PS Tasks PR Practitioners On Professionalism
Mr Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has called public relations experts to discharge their duties with high sense of professionalism.
Aburime made the call at a business lecture of Anambra Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR) in Awka.
The theme of the lecture was “Understanding The Regulatory Environment Governing NIPR”.
The PS said public relations was a professional domain that should be accorded its rightful place in the society.
Aburime assured the support of Soludo’s for the professionals adding that the only way that practitioners could be respected was if they had respect for themselves and did the right thing at all times.
“I want to commend the NIPR for placing professionalism in the front burner over the years, particularly in identifying gaps in the practice and taking strategic steps to close them,” he said..
Some participants at the event included Prof. Kate Omenugha, former Commissioner for Education, Prof. Stella Okunna, former commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Prof. Boniface Obiefuna and Dr. Dennis Ekemezie.
