Anambra Clinches Gold In Female Boxing To Extend Medal Haul To 17
Onyinye Judith on Wednesday night won the second gold medal for Team Anambra in women’s boxing .
Judith beat Emmanuella Ighomi 3:1 in the final fight of 80kg women’s category in Boxing held at Baptist Boys High School, Oke-Saje, Abeokuta.
Earlier, Anambra won two bronze through Sunday Janet in 100 metres hurdle and Ndibe Calistus, Isidore Akpobobeme and Ezulike Dennis in scrabble events.
With these wins, Anambra medal tally has risen to 17 including two good, six silver and none bronze.
The festival ends on May 30.
