Anambra CP Strengthens Security Around Schools, Churches
CP Ikioye Orutugu, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra has moved to strengthen the security environment around schools in the state.
The move is in response to reported attacks on schools and abduction of students in the northern parts of the country.
Orutugu who announced the strengthening of security measures across schools and churches in Anambra was part of a proactive strategy to prevent threats and ensure a secure environment for learning and worship.
SP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officers in Anambra in a statement on Sunday the CP commended the growing unity of safety consciousness among residents.
He said the people of Anambra had continued to demonstrate commendable cooperation, vigilance, and the spirit of being their brothers’ keepers.
Orutugu said the collective commitment had significantly supported the Command’s efforts in maintaining peace and security across the State.
“CP has directed Area Commanders, DPOs, and Tactical Commanders to intensify security patrols, reinforce intelligence-driven operations, and strengthen collaboration with community stakeholders for effective security coordination.
