Anambra Gov’t Awards Ekwulobia-Nnobi Road, Others
The Anambra Government has approved the commencement of dualisation of Ekwulobia-Nnobi road.
The government made the approval at the 14th Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) Meeting on Monday.
The resolution which was made available by Dr Law Mefor, Commissioner for Information on Wednesday said He said the dual carriageway would complete the linking of the four major Anambra cities by dual carriageways.
Mefor said the dualisation of the Ekwulobia-Nnobi road about 32.6 km would gulp the sum of N28.9 billion while the sum of N110.7 million was earmarked for supply and installation of mechanical appurtenances at College of Nursing Sciences.
He said construction of Metallic View-Point Barricade at the Light House, Awka would cost the sum of N488. 4 million and N95.8 million was approved for Geophysical Survey/Mapping.
“Construction of outstanding road segments in Okpoko Area was awarded in the sum of N2.03 billion and N96.9 million was for procurement, installation, and deployment of digital multi-band jammers,” he said.
Mefor said the ANSEC joined in mourning the death of former president, Muhammadu Buhari.
He said the state committed each year to implementing reforms aimed at enhancing the ease of doing business.
“The initiatives have resulted in improvements in land administration, infrastructure investment, business processes, investment promotion and protection, tax administration, and access to justice.
