Anambra Gov’t To Spend N2,8Bn On Entrepreneurship Start Ups, Others
The Anambra government has approved the sum.of
N2,835 billion finance the it’s entrepreneurship programme.
The State Executive Council which took the decision at its meeting on Monday said N2,588,520 was for those who had acquired skills under its 1Youth, Two Skills scheme.
Dr Law Mefor, Commissioner for Information who issued the Statement said 7,163 out of 11,000 had successfully completed their training in 65 skill areas.
Mefore said another set of
235 apprentices across the 21 local governments in the state also concluded the programme successfully,
He said N141,900,000 was for cooperatives start-up while N73,230,000 was set aside for graduation and certification.
“1Youth 2Skills mentorship scheme would get N31,000,000 and N500,000 will go as consolation to deceased family,” he said.
Mefor said the administration targeted that no fewer than 1,000 millionaires would emerging from the graduates.
He said the Council approved the Awka City Park project which would provide environmental, aesthetic, and recreational benefits to residents of the city adding that work would commence soon.
