Anambra Guber: I will serve with humility, compassion—-AA’s Nweke
Chief Jeff Nweke, candidate of Action Alliance (AA) Party in the Nov. 8 governorship election in Anambra has said will serve the people of the state with humility, sincerity and compassion if elected.
Nweke who disclosed this while speaking to his supporters in Awka on Tuesday said he was coming to effective the change the people craved for.
He said his entrance into the race was the first time candidate who had the interest of the common man and street masses at heart.
He said people had suffered pain and hopelessness because of the way the past managers of Anambra had piloted the affairs of the state.
“I know exactly how you feel, all these are summed up in me, I have heard your cry, the time of crying is over, the time for change has come.
“Go out on Nov.8 and vote for change, I am representing you and I am doing that with guts laden actions, let us decide our destiny ourselves.
“We are tired of leaders who will only remember you only when it is time for elections and forget you after you have voted for them, they break their promises, intimidate and suppress us,” he said.
Nweke said he would not stereotype and profile people according to their class but would rather sit and engage with people in discourse to make resolutions on the future they wanted.
He said he was not promising a perfect but assured that he would speak the truth and make sure that no one was invincible under his leadership.
He said behind every house, there was a father struggling to put food on the table and put clothing on the back of their children adding that it had created bruises in our hearts of the people
“All these are just to make us succumb and keep quiet, while they loot what belongs to you and me only for themselves and their families.
“I am not in the race to be governor because of power but because I am tired of seeing people suffer in silence.
“For too long we have been ruled by people who only care about their ego, they have no empathy, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing, the only thing I need from you is solidarity.

“Not only to go and vote on Nov. 8, but make a statement this time that Anambra state needs leadership grounded in action, rooted in truth and integrity, and delivered
with heart,” he said.
