Anambra Guber: Ikemba Front To Lead Ukachukwu’s Campaign As INEC Lifts Ban
The Ikemba Front support group has said would use its reach across the 326 political wards in Anambra to mobilise voters for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu ahead of the Nov. 8 governorship election in the state.
Ikemba Front under the leadership of Chief Arinzechukwu Awogu, it’s National Coordinator said this ahead of lift of ban on open campaigns by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on June 10.
The group said no fewer than 700 of its members across the state would converge on it National Secretariat in Awka on June 6 , to perfect its strategies for the Nov. 8 guber poll.
The group in a memo said the expanded meeting would be a bold statement to claim victory in the upcoming Anambra gubernatorial election.
Meanwhile, the final list of the governorship candidates for the November election will be published by INEC on June 9 while campaigns in public by political parties will commence on June 11.
“Ikemba Front will leverage its presence in the 5,720 Polling Units across the state as a huge advantage to the APC in winning the November guber election.
“The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu is leading opinion polls in the state ahead of the November election,”
