Anambra Guber: Okpuno Community Promises To Vote Soludo En-Bloc
The People of Okpuno Community in Awka South Local Government Area have said they will support the re-election bid of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo by casting their votes for him on Nov. 8 en bloc.
The community made the commitment at the inauguration ceremony of Okpuno Community in Awka South Youth office on Friday.
Mr Luke Egwuatu, the President General of Okpuno said Soludo had done well for the state within his three years in office as governor.
Egwuatu said it was under Soludo that Okpuno had dual carriage way constructed through it adding that the governor had addressed the menace of insecurity in Anambra m.
According to him, the votes of Okpuno community in the forthcoming governorship election in Nov. 8 will go to Governor Soludo 100 percent.
Also speaking, Mr Charles Obidimma the Okpuno community Youth President said Soludo was a youth friendly governor whose administration has empowered Anambra youth through the 1-youth, 2-skills initiative.
Obidimma corroborated Egwuatu’s declaration that Okpuno community electorate would vote overwhelmingly for Soludo in November.
“Other people contesting the election with Governor Soludo are wasting their time,” he said.
In his remark, Mr Chinedu Obigwe said Soludo was a Godsend to the people of Anambra.
Obigwe commended Okpuno youth for declaring their support for Soludo as reciprocate for his administration’s good work in their community and Anambra as a whole.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance Chieftain advised them to protect their votes on election day because there were candidates who were plotting on how to rig the election.
“No reasonable electorate in Anambra who want the best for the State will vote for such people.
.
“So, I urge you to fulfill your promise of using your votes to reward Gov. Soludo for his administration’s numerous good works
in our Anambra,” he said.
