Anambra Has No Has No Consensus Candidate For PDP National Auditor…Nwobu
Chief Ndubusi Nwobu, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra says the party in the state is ready for the national elective convention scheduled for Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.
Nwobu said this in an interview with newsmen in Awka.
He said Anambra has three candidates for the position of the National Auditor of the party and that all of them would be standing election at the convention.
The three candidates for the position of National Auditor are Mr Samben Nwosu, Obiokechukwu Benson-Oraelosi and Obi Okechukwu.
“We believe that the PDP national elective convention will go well, positions have been zoned and further microzoned and the position zoned to Anambra the national auditor of the party.
“As we speak, we have three candidates for the position and we believe that they are all eminently qualified but the delegates will determine who will sail through.
“They have presented themselves, screened and certified fit to run for the position, we don’t have a consensus candidate as a state chapter,” he said.
Nwobu said PDP remained the party with best chance in the Nov. 6 governorship election as the ruling All progressives Grand Alliance was not electable having failed as a government.
The chairman said the All Progressive Congress, another leading contender in the election, had no string base in spite the massive defections.
