Anambra Senate Hopeful, Egwuonwu Hails Soludo’s Security Initiative, Pledges Support
Chief Akai Egwuonwu, Managing Director of Stine Industries, producers of Anambra Rice has commended the steps taken by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo to tackle insecurity in Anambra.
Egwuonwu, a top contender in Anambra South Senatorial District bye election said this while reacting to the inauguration of ‘Udo Ga Achi. Security Initiative by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo in Awka on Saturday.
Recall that the Anambra State House of Assembly on Jan. 16 enacted a set of laws on homeland security.
Egwuonwu, leading aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial by-election said the initiative was a watershed in the fight against insecurity in Anambra.
He said the security initiative was one that had been provided with adequate abd necessary legislative framework.
“The new security law passed by the House of Assembly is the legal background needed for effective takeoff and implementation security initiatives.
“This demonstrates the governor’s depths of clarity in addressing this insecurity from its foundations and all that made today’s inauguration a formidable exercise,
Egwuonwu said his for Anambra South had security as top priority in the Senate.
He said if elected into the red Chambers,he would assiduously support the security security efforts of the governor.
