Anambra South Group Backs Egwuonwu For Senate
Some personalities from Anambra South Senatorial District have thrown their weight behind the aspiration of Chief Akai Egwuonwu to occupy the vacant seat of the zone in the Senate.
The group declared their support for Egwuonwu who is contesting for the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)at a reception organised for him in Asaba, Delta State capital on Sunday.
Egwuonwu , Managing Director of Stine Industries, producers of Anambra Rice and Zara Departmental Stores took his campaign trail to the Delta State capital.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr Uche Ochuba, the Zonal Coordinator of Chisco Group for South East and South South urged the people of Anambra South to rally around Egwuonwu and ensure his emergence as Senator.
Ochuba said Egwuonwu’s qualities as a philanthropist and employer of labour stood him out as the most qualified and suitable candidate for the Senate.

Responding, Egwuonwu expressed gratitude to Ochuba and his group from Anambra South extraction for the warm reception and confidence in him to deliver.
He assured that he would not betray the confidence reposed on him when he emerged as Senator representing Anambra South in the
National Assembly.
