Anambra Super 8 League Finalists Get Opponents
The eight teams that qualified for the finals of the ‘My Anambra Football’ Super 8 tournament have been drawn into two groups of four teams each.
The draw was done at the Anambra State (AnSFA) Secretariat, Awka on Wednesday.
Group A had Ifechikwulu FC, Konti FC, Rangels FA and Pope John Paul FC while Group B comprised Smith City FC, Mekon FC, Golden Boys FC and GP World FA.
It would be recalled that Super 8 playoffs which comprised 27 grassroots football clubs across the three senatorial zones of Anambra held between Feb 1 and Feb 3.
Speaking after the draws, Oliver Ndigwe, Chairman of the Super 8 Organising Committee said the finals would hold between March 29 and April 3.

State Football Association (AnSFA) said the tournament would take a league format where the top two teams in each group would proceed as semi finalists.
According to him, the games would be played at the Chuba Ikpeazu Mini Stadium, Onitsha while the finals would hold at NEROS Football Stadium Nanka.
He congratulated the clubs that made it to the finals and urged them to conduct themselves in the best manner and ensure they stuck to the rules of the game.
Ndigwe said the best team would get a slot to play in the nationwide league with cash prize just as other top sides in the tournament.
