AnsPoly Bestows Educational Impact Award On Nzomiwu At 3rd International Conference
The Anambra Polytechnic, Mgbakwu held their 3rd International Multi-disciplinary Conference on Dec. 11, 2024.
The conference has the theme “Innovation for Sustainable Development in a Digital Era”.
Speaking at the event, Dr Njideka Chikezie, the Acting Rector of Anambra Polytechnic- Mgbakwu said the institution was determined to provide solutions to national development challenges by regular supply of well equipped workforce.
Chikezie said the vision of the institution was to be a leading Polytechnic of great reputation, with an outstanding and enviable academic standard.
“We are equipping students to be technologically skilled, morally-sound and entrepreneurial-minded.
“Anambra Polytechnic under my watch aims to achieve excellence through promoting the acquisition of technological and academic competencies in a serene academic environment.
She called on Gov. Chukwuma Soludo to enable the Polytechnic to get the needed capacity and approvals to attain the status of HND awarding institution.
Awards were bestowed on deserving persons for their contributions to society and education .
Mr Anthony Nzomiwu was honoured with
Educational Impact as a trailblazer in research and publications in (STEM)
Other honourees were Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Commissioner for Education, Mr Julius Chukwuemeka, Commissioner for Power and Water Resources and Mr Chinedu Nwoye.
Also recognised were Ms Chiamaka Nnake, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Ossy Onuko, Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority and Alahaji Abdulrazak Olahan, the Oba Yoruba of Awka.
The keynote lecture at the event was delivered by Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, a human rights law
yer and Frontline academic.
