Assailants Attack Amesi Vigilance Group Office In Anambra Community
Some yet to be identified gunmen in Thursday night attacked Amesi town hall in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra.
A source said the attack which occurred at about midnight led to loss of life injuries and destruction of property including three vehicles.
According to an eyewitness, assailants stormed the hall, burning at least three vehicles, two motorcycles and firing sporadically.
“We do not know the identity of the slain victim yet, it said.
Meanwhile, the Police Command in Anambra which confirmed the incident says it has taken over the Anambra Vigilants office which was the scene of the incident.

Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said no life was light but confirmed that four patrol vehicles and two motorcycles were burnt during gun duel by security operatives and the armed hoodlums.
“Calm has returned to the area as men of the Joint Security Force has intensified offensive operations in the area.
“The situation is being closely monitored and further developments would be communicated accordingly, he said.
