Azuka, Kidnapped Anambra Lawmaker Found Dead
Mr Justice Azuka, the kidnapped member of Anambra House of Assembly representing Onitsha North Constituency 1 is dead.
Azuka (Labour Party) was kidnapped in Onitsha on Dec. 24, 2024 and had been missing since then.
A team of Police and operatives of the Anambra Vigilance Group discovered the decomposing body near the second Niger bridge on Wednesday night.
The Police Command in Anambra has confirmed the killing of Azuka by his abductors.

Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State Police Command said they had gone for the rescue of Azuka but regrettably found his lifeless body at the scene.
“As soon as I get more details, I will keep you updated, as the joint security team has taken over the scene and an operation is ongoing for the possible arrest of the suspects involved,” he said.
The unfortunate death of Azuka is the second case of a serving Anambra lawmaker who was kidnapped and murdered in the last three years.
Okechukwu Okoye, representing Aguata Constituency 1 was abducted and beheaded in May 2020.
