CP Adeoye Commends Electorate, Stakeholders On Peaceful Polls In Anambra
Mr Aderemi Adeoye, Commissioner of Police in charge of State House of Assembly in Anambra has commended the people of the state for their peaceful behaviours before, during and after the polls.
Adeoye in a Statement signed by DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said the peaceful conduct was similar to what happened during the governorship election in 2021 when he was Deputy Commissioner Operations in the Command.
CP Adeoye commended the Independent National Electoral Commission in the Anambra for the transparent and credible way ut conducted the election such that the outcome was acceptable to all parties.
According to him, the spirit of sportsmanship and maturity exhibited by the contestants and their supporters throughout the exercise is most commendable and should be emulated by all.
“I want to thank the Anambra Government for allowing a level playing ground for the people to express their choice,” he said.
Adeoye commended the heads of all the security agencies in the State for their patriotism and sacrifice in the discharge of their duties and the unparalleled synergy with and support for the Police which guaranteed success.
He urged all stakeholders to continue to work for the greater good of the nation in all their endeavours.
“Also, I thank all Officers and Men of Anambra State Police Command for their neutrality and professionalism during the just concluded election.
“Lastly and in a special way, I want to thank the Inspector General of Police for the confidence reposed in him in allowing him to serve the nation in this capacity,” he said.
