Don Bosco, Mater Amabilis Win Basketball Gold In Anambra School Sports Festival
Don Bosco Secondary School, Ugwuagba Obosi and Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji both in Idemili North Local Government Area have won gold in the male and female basketball events respectively at the ongoing Anambra school sports festival.
Don Bosco defeated Bubendorf Memorial Grammar School 5-4 in a game decided at the Alex Ekwueme Square on Thursday to emerge the 2023 school sports festival basketball champions
The champions had earlier beaten Nnewi High school basketball team 7-1 to reach the final while Bubendorf trounced Christ the King College 7-0 to qualify for the final.
In the female basketball event, Mater Amabilis Secondary Umuoji defeated Dominican Girls Secondary School Abatete to win gold in basketball.
