EEDC Explains Power Outage In Southeast
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has said there is a total system collapse in its network.
Emeka Ezeh, Head, Corporate Communications of EEDC said this in a Statement made available to newsmen in Awka on Monday.
Ezeh said the total system collapse occurred at 2:41am on Monday.
He said the breakdown resulted to loss of supply to all its interface Transmission Company of Nigeria stations.
According to him, the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC wishes to inform her esteemed customers of a total system collapse which occurred at 2:41am today, April 15..
“This resulted in the loss of supply to all our interface TCN stations.
“Consequently, we were unable to provide service to our customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States,” he said.
Ezeh said the situation was gradually being resolved as EEDC received supply at Awada TCN station, Onitsha, at about 7:30 am Monday.
He said they were in constant communication with the relevant authorities and awaiting full restoration of supply by the National Control Centre, NCC, Oshogbo.
