EERC Presents Distribution Licence To MainPower Ltd
The Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) has presented the distribution license to the Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) to sell energy to customers in Enugu.
Mr Chijioke Okonkwo, The Chairman of EERC, made the formal presentation of the licence to Dr Ernest Mupwaya, the Managing Director of MEDL at EERC Corporate Head Office in Enugu on Friday.
Okonkwo said MEDL had satisfied all regulatory requirements to distribute electricity within Enugu State.
The presentation was done in the presence of representatives of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) including Dr Steve Dike, Mr Kester Enwereonu, and Praveen Chorghade, the Group Managing Director.
Also present were some members of MEDL’s management team, including Uche Okala, the Chief Regulatory Officer, Mr Ikenna Akabogu, the Chief Commercial Officer, and Mr Chimezie Chukwu, the Chief Technical Officer.
Also present were Mrs Mercy Ogbonna, the Chief Finance Officer and Mr Emeka Ezeh. Head of Communications.
