Emeka Offor foundation Distributes Bags Of Rice To 2000 Widows In Anambra
No fewer than 2,000 widows received a 50kg bag of rice each from the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) philanthropic scheme.
Chief Tony Obi,the Coordinator of the foundation distributed the food item to the beneficiaries at the Foundation’s warehouse in Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA on Monday.
Obi who represented Dr Emeka Offor, founder of SEOF said the gesture was in sustenance of the Foundation’s annual philanthropic activities aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the downtrodden.
The Coordinator said the Foundation was committed to improving the lives of the poor and less privileged in the society, while thanking God for what He had been doing through Offor and his wife Mrs Adaora Offor, who was the Vice President of the Foundation.
He said the thrust of Foundation’s philanthropic mission were education, health, capacity building and empowerment.
In a goodwill message the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), commended the humanitarian efforts for always remembering the poor in the society.
EEDC who was represented by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, Head, Corporate Communications, said the company was proud to be a part of SEOF while praying that God will bless Offor and his family.
According to him, we are always excited to be present at its events, part of which is the rice distribution, you should count yourselves lucky to have a son as generous as Sir Emeka Offor.
“What he has been doing here is worth emulating, and your prayers have really contributed to the successes he has recorded in his businesses, and we urge you to continue in your prayers,” he said.
Mrs. Monica Nwabueze who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked the Foundation for always having their interest at heart.
“Just look at how we are all glowing, it is because we all have a husband in Emeka Offor, who never allows us to lack anything, he gives us food to eat, clothes to wear and money to do our businesses.
“May God continue to bless him and his family, amen,” she said.
