Ezeokenwa Takes Over From Oye As APGA National Chairman
Mr Sly Ezeokenwa, a former APGA National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has been elected the National Chairman of the party.
Ezeokenwa was unanimously elected at the national convention of the party in Awka on Wednesday.
No fewer than 300 delegates from 36 states and Abuja took part at the convention.
Gov.Chukwuma Soludo cf Anambra who is also the National Leader of observed the convention alongside officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission led by Festus Okoye, a Federal Commissioner.

Soludo congratulated Ezeokenwa as the fourth national chairman of APGA, describing him as a thoroughbred party man.
He said APGA was a party for Nigerian youth because the party is being led by youth.
He lauded the outgoing leadership of the party led.by Dr Victor Oye for leaving behind landed assets with its own title documents.
“When they took office, they were given N25 million, but when they left, they were handing over N300 million in cash.” APGA is meticulously designed to last.
“We are going to engrave your names on a plaque of marble and have them etched on the national and regional Headquarters of APGA so we will never forget. That action is ‘un-Nigerian’,’ ‘ Governor Soludo stressed.
While thanking the newly reconstituted APGA Board of Trustees, the Governor noted that there is still much work to be done but expressed confidence in their ability to deliver.
In his remark,Oye, who recalled that he was sworn in as National Chairman on June 6, 2015, expressed joy that he and his team were leaving with their shoulders high.
“We came, fought, and conquered, ” he said, fighting the good fight with resilience and hard effort.
Ezeokenwa, thanked Oye, describing him as political godfather and mentor
He reaffirmed his commitment to build a formidable party for the masses, to supply social needs and alleviate suffering. He accepted the mandate as an opportunity to serve.
